You might try with the Nvidia forums, maybe someone there has heard of the problem, as of now I have no idea. Tryied looking at the nvidia control settings, to see if something is set wrong? Itreally is an odd problem, especially since you described it as a zoom,and I doubt it is a resolution problem. How did the testing work out? It is not an opengl error, sincesome of the games utilizing dx. Im gonna try to switch to a higher resolution on desktop to see if that does anything but I bet it wont. I work with PCs every day so I know about it quite a lot but I cant find the source of this problem just yet. Games that work fine: Darwinia, Aliens Swarm, Audiosurf, Beat Hazard demo, San Andreas, Swarm Arena, Games that have the mentioned problem: Gumboy Tournament, Amnesia demo, Uplink, Worms Reloaded. Maddie_Larkin I hope Im not late with the reply. If that is the case, it would limit the problem by a whole lot, and makingfinding a fix much less problematic. If you could list the games that does the cutting off, it would help a bit, I may have a hunch that they may be running onOpen GL instead of Directx. It does sound quite odd, it is not a problem I have heard of before, altho others likely has. I can even see the 'you can now acess community features of Steam, pressing the shortcut' in the bottom right corner of the RED part (which shows at the bottom right of the whole screen for me). I cant even run or quit the game from the main menu as I cant see the buttons which are at the bottom. Theres no deformation of aspect ratio though, its just cut off and zoomed in. I only see the red part which somehow stretches or zooms so it fills the whole screen.
The whole screen would be normaly green as thats the fullscreen mode.
I have created this video for youtube so you can see what the problem is. EDIT Now I got Bully Scholarship Edition and it does the exact same thing.

Has anyone had to solve a similar problem? Also I do have latest drivers for my graphics card and everything installed. I dont know, maybe it has nothing to do with Steam at all. Its nothing special but I was able to run Mafia 2 demo at decent quality with it and I cant see why would a lower budget GPU give such trouble.

I have Windows 7 64bit, Home Premium, graphics card is GeForce 315 (one of those pre-built PCs). I have to navigate to Options and switch resolution every time I run the game to make it go back to fullscreen mode.
It starts in fullscreen but before the menu shows up it turns automaticaly to windowed mode and even there some parts of screen are cut off. San Andreas and Audiosurf for instance run fine. I tried to change resolution, turn V Sync ON and OFF, it still cuts the edges of the screen and I was forced to play the demo in windowed mode (I even cant click buttons at the bottom of the screen if there are some).
